Explanation

I-chan (い) enjoys anime, loves dango, and wants a coffee at Komeda Cafe, hence taking more time to reach the right side.

On the other hand, A-chan (あ, in blue) is not interested in any of the shops along the way and goes straight through much quicker. This separates I-chan and A-chan!
